Welcome to the official website of the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
As the regulatory Authority responsible for the sustainable development of Guyana's air transport sector in keeping with the International Civil Aviation Organisation's (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices, the GCAA is committed to its mission of being a regulator that is facilitating, adaptable, and forward thinking, thus ensuring a safe, secure, economically viable and environmentally sound aviation sector.
Guyana's aviation industry is the nucleus of the country's development, and is a pivotal link between the coastal and hinterland regions of Guyana. It is therefore the vision of this Authority to enhance its regulatory capacity for the safety and security of air transport, while facilitating optimum efficiency with respect to the movement of passengers and goods.
Unprecedented growth will continue to bring unprecedented challenges, particularly with the rise of the oil and gas industry on the horizon, the soon to be completed Cheddi Jagan International Airport expansion project with its extended runway and the ever expanding Domestic Aviation industry. Therefore, the sustainability of the local and international aviation industries is a concern for all stakeholders.
As we welcome you to the GCAA's website, we note that the interdependent nature of global air transport operations is indicative of the collaborative approach, which organization's such as the GCAA must adopt, as it seeks to edify, and satisfy growing needs and update our industry's stakeholders and customers about important happenings and developments at the Authority and within the sector.
